Political analyst Daniel Orogo has said that President William Ruto is grooming Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi to be his running mate in the 2027 elections.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has downplayed sections of media reports claiming that William Ruto will be a one-term president.

Speaking during a mega fundraiser in Shinyalu Constituency, Kakamega County on Sunday, September 24, Mudavadi exuded confidence that President William Ruto will automatically be re-elected in the 2027 elections.

He said, Ruto, had fulfilled most of his promises and that the next General Election would be his to win, and that they would discuss his succession in 2032.

“Let us not do any guesswork anymore, the situation is quite clear that Ruto has the advantage and he is keeping his promise… and it is easier for us to work with President Ruto to the election of 2027 and then maybe you can talk after that,” Mudavadi said.

As such, Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula said it was imperative for the western region to embrace unity of purpose that would subsequently foster development.

They said that it was only by speaking in one voice that the region would benefit from President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential chief agent in the 2022 election Saitabao Ole Kanchory had claimed that President William Ruto would only serve for one term.

In his book titled Why Baba Is Not The 5th, Kanchory reveals that Ruto’s presidency depends on the alertness and resolve of the Kenyan people.

“At the rate we are going, William Ruto can easily be a one-term president, but he can also be a lifetime president,” he said.

Already, the majority of Kenyans now believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction with the cost of living having been increased beyond reach.
