Former Kitui governor, Charity Ngilu, on Thursday, August 24, came out of her hideout more than a year since Raila Odinga’s presidential loss.

The former county boss paid Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi a courtesy call at his office in Nairobi.

Mudavadi took to social media his picture with Ngilu to reminisce about their long-time relationship dating back from 2013.

The two leaders have previously worked together in 2017 when they were co-principals in the defunct National Super Alliance (Nasa) on whose ticket the opposition sought but lost the presidency to Jubilee.

“Great meeting with my longtime friend Mama Ngilu who paid me a courtesy call in my office this afternoon,” Mudavadi said.

In the 2022 General Election, Ngilu seriously campaigned against the then Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto.

Having been promised a Cabinet Secretary slot, Charity drummed up support for the then Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

She could be seen on every campaign platform drumming up support for the former Prime Minister.

However, after Raila’s presidential loss to now President William Ruto, Ngilu went missing raising concerns from Kenyans and the opposition camp on her whereabouts.

Ngilu, who was known to be very active on social media, last update on Twitter and Facebook was in September 2022.

In the post, she asked President William Ruto to walk the talk and appoint 50 percent of women to his cabinet as promised during campaigns.

“He promised 50″percent, 11 women in the cabinet that we can support. Let’s wait and see,” Ngilu said.
