He has since dismissed President William Ruto’s win in the August 9, elections insisting that he was rigged out in favor of his bitter rival.

However, nominated MP John Mbadi has dismissed Raila’s claims that he was rigged out in favor of William Ruto.

The ODM chairman who was speaking during the inspection of the construction progress of Ramula Technical Training Institute said that Raila lost the presidency to William Ruto.

He instead blamed a section of Nyanza leaders following Raila’s loss in the hotly contested presidential race.

Mbadi said most of the leaders from the Nyanza region messed up Raila by failing to rally people to vote and protect his votes.

“He looked for votes throughout the country. He left us to protect his votes, but we still refused to do that,

“We are the ones who messed up this old man. So did you want Raila to go and guard his votes in Mombasa? Even here in Suba, we only had a 72 percent voter turnout,” Mbadi said.

Mbadi said most of the leaders from the region were not only after their interest but also boasting of having won and neglected to engage with Kenyans in search of votes.

“We are busy with our interests and making noise. They were just chest thumping their chest that they had already won. I asked them to talk to the electorates, but they did not listen. They’ve got theirs, but as a community, we’ve not,” he lamented.
