With barely a year since the much-hyped 2022 General Election, the country seems to be experiencing heightened political campaigns.

For instance, President William Ruto’s recent tours of the country appear to signal that the Head of State has his eyes fixed on the 2027 General Election.

The President has sustained a charm offensive visiting the Nyanza region, Western, Rift Valley, Central, Coast regions, and other parts of the country.

In his tour of Western Kenya and the Nyanza region, Ruto weighed into the 2027 polls with statements that affirmed he would beat his opponents.

As such, renowned blogger Pauline Njoroge has asked the First in Command to suspend his re-election bid and work for the Kenyans.

In a statement on Wednesday, August 30, the Jubilee digital strategist said it was said to see the president on car rooftops making roadside declarations as the country continued to sink.

“…as companies close and thousands of Kenyans lose jobs, as Kenyans struggle to get basic documents and other government services, the guy who recently admitted to having a team of incompetent CSs and PSs instead of providing leadership and governing has gone back to what he knows best…. campaigning,

“He is back on car rooftops politicking and threatening investors less than a year after elections, and never has time to sit still for a while to think through decisions and strategies,” she said.

Political analyst Herman Manyora further took to his social media pages pleading with President William Ruto to stop his countrywide tours dubbed ‘development tours’ and go back to his office in Nairobi and work for Kenyans.

“President William Ruto, please come back to Nairobi and work for your people,” Manyora said.
