Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has said that the One Kenya Alliance principals are State House project as the race to succeed retiring president Uhuru Kenyatta gains momentum.

According to the former Jubilee deputy secretary general, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, KANu boss Gideon Moi, and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka will eventually join forces with ODM leader Raila Odinga who is considered Preesident Uhuru’s preferred successor.

“They (Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, and Kalonzo Musyoka) will all end up supporting Raila (Odinga),” Kositany said in a Tweet.

Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has said that the One Kenya Alliance principals are State House project as the race to succeed retiring president Uhuru Kenyatta gains momentum.

Kositany, an ardent supporter of Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto on Friday, October 1,  said the 2022 presidential race will be a two-horse race between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former Agriculture Minister William Ruto.

“The 2022 presidential race will be between two R’s (Raila and Ruto). One self-made and the other a state project,” Kositany added.

Kositany said it does not make sense for serious presidential candidates to attend the launch of their competitors’ presidential bid as witnessed when Raila Odinga joined OKA principals during the launch of Senator Gideon Moi’s presidential journey.

Kalonzo worked with Raila Odinga in the 2013 and 2017 presidential elections under the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) as well as the National Super Alliance (NASA) umbrella while Mudavdi supported Raila in 2017.

However, the two maintained that they will not be working with Raila Odinga again saying that they will only work with the former premier if he shelves his presidential ambitions and support one of their own.

But on Thursday, September 30, the duo hinted at a possible reunion that will see the former National Super Alliance principals team up as the country approaches the 2022 General Election.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka said there are chances of a possible merger of all the opposition bigwigs.

But while Kalonzo spoke of a post-2022 merger, his OKA counterpart Musalia Mudavadi said the alliance is open to pre-2022 talks on a broader coalition of the willing.

“I am ready and willing to walk with my brother Gideon Moi. I can see after 2022, a possible merger of all of us,” Kalonzo said.
