Miguna Miguna and Ahmednassir praise Ruto for picking Rigathi Gachagua as running mate ‘fearless’

Lawyers Miguna Miguna and Ahmednassir Abdullahi have heaped praise on Deputy President William Ruto for settling on Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as his presidential running mate ahead of the August polls.

On Sunday, May 15, DP Ruto announced the MP MP as his running mate ending a 17- hour standoff that involved Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki.

Taking to social media outspoken lawyer, Miguna Miguna commented on the Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate terming Rigathi as a fearless leader.

“Dynamite. That’s Rigathi Gachagua. Resolute. Fearless. Eloquent. Self-assured. He has impressed me for 4 years. Kenya deserves a DP who will speak his mind publicly and privately.

“William Ruto deserves a DP who won’t kneel before him. Congratulations, Gachagua.” Miguna said on Twitter.

According to Miguna Miguna, Gachagua is a perfect candidate to neutralize the influence of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Mt Kenya region.

“With the fearless Rigathi Gachagua as William Ruto’s running mate, it’s game over for despot Uhuru Kenyatta and conman Raila Odinga,” he stated.

On his part, senior counsel Ahmednassir opined that Gachagua is a complete candidate who will now take over the leadership of the GEMA community.

“Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua ticks all the right boxes…and now officially takes over from H.E UHURU the leadership of the GEMA community,

“DP Ruto made the right choice. He picked a candidate who has a strong personality, is a legendary mobilizer, articulate and forceful.” Ahmednassir said.

Ruto revealed that the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, settled on Gachagua because he is an astute debater, a principled, resilient, and fearless fighter for the right cause.

“I nominate my good friend Rigathi Gachagua to be my running mate in the August 9, 2022, presidential election,” Ruto told a news conference on Sunday

Ruto revealed that he chose Gachagua from other worthy candidates who made it to the shortlist among them Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki, Murang’a Women Representative Alice Wahome, and Speaker Justin Muturi
