Miguna Miguna: Raila Odinga is not interested in winning the presidency in 2022

Miguna, an ally-turned fierce critic of the opposition leader said Raila was only interested in being the Luo’s kingpin adding that his sixth stab at the presidency is already predictable.

Exiled Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has sensationally claimed that presidential hopeful Raila Odinga is not interested in winning the 2022 presidential race.

Miguna Miguna said Raila, who recently announced that he will be giving a fifth stab at the presidency in the August 9, General Election is vying so he can make billions from billionaire businessmen who will finance his campaigns.

“Raila Odinga is not running for president to get votes, or to win. He is in business to make billions from Kikuyu, Asian and Arab and other criminals ready to pay tens of millions for ODM nomination certificates,” said Miguna Miguna, a former close confidant of the ODM leader.

Miguna’s sentiments come just hours after the ODM leader Raila Odinga picked Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Mureithi to head his campaign team as board chair.

According to the controversial lawyer, the move by Raila who is enjoying the backing of President Uhuru Kenyatta to pick Laikipia Governor clearly shows that he is not interested in the win.

Miguna argues that Ndiritu does not even understand the current dynamic of politics but the opposition leader thinks the second-term governor will attract more than 13 million voters from the vote-rich Mt Kenya region.

“Nderitu Mureithi has only visited Nyanza as a tourist three times in his life. He doesn’t know where Mbita is… He has never been to Keroka. But Raila Odinga and his “brilliant” strategists believe that Nderitu will attract 13 Kikuyu billionaires who will make up for real voters,” Miguna said in a Tweet on Thursday, January 6.

Last month, Miguna Miguna warned former Prime Minister Raila Odinga against premature celebrations.

He said the fact that Raila has received the support of the Jubilee party and president Uhuru Kenyatta does not guarantee him victory.
