The One Kenya Alliance leaders Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Gideon Moi on Sunday, October 31 addressed a nearly empty church in Thika.
Accompanied by their new ally Cyrus Jirongo, the principals were met with a low turnout at the ATG church with several seats at the church left unoccupied.
The people present at the church said that the One Kenya Alliance leaders met a nearly empty venue due to poor mobilization.
However, the principals went ahead to sell their agenda, promising to reduce taxes and repay Kenya’s debts once they assume office.
“We have enough minerals and land that we can use to generate resources enough to clear all the debts we have as a nation. Unlike our competitors, we have very good plans to do that in less than two years,” said Kalonzo Musyoka.
After the church service, the group proceeded to a public rally at the Githurai area in Kiambu County.
From the photos shared by Musalia Mudavadi, the situation here was the opposite of what was witnessed in the empty church.
Mudavadi boasted of the huge crowd that they pulled in the area, saying that the One Kenya Alliance is a reality.
“As OKA, our vision is to have one united country. This is the message we took to the people of Thika and Githurai today.
Equally, the people of Kenya should be given a chance to decide on the leader they want through their vote. They should not have a leader imposed on them,” Mudavadi wrote in a tweet.
The One Kenya Alliance leaders hit the ground after numerous reports that their coalition is in limbo.
They have further renewed talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is said to be persuading them to support Raila Odinga presidency.
