Another ANC MP asks Musalia Mudavadi to join Raila Odinga ahead of 2022 elections

by Antynet Ford

Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has been told by Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka that his political future will be bright if he joins ODM leader and 2022 presidential front-runner Raila Odinga.

Aseka said Mudavadi stands a chance to inherit Raila’s support from the Western and Nyanza when the ODM leader retires as the 5th president of Kenya.

Aseka further warned that should Mudavadi join Deputy President William Ruto’s camp, he risks being in the opposition for ten years because Rruto stands no. hance to win the 2022 presidential race.

“When I look at the prevailing political conditions and environment, I would advise my party leader (Musalia Mudavadi) to support Raila Odinga,

” If he joins Deputy President William Ruto, he will have another 10 years of oblivion. He might not add anything significant to his side. He may get government positions but nothing political” Aseka said in an interview with a local paper.

In the interview, the MP confirmed that indeed there are secret talks to have Mudavadi join William Ruto’s camp ahead of the highly anticipated 2022 presidential election.

“It’s true there are negotiations between Amani National Congress and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) but they are being done secretly.” Said Aseka.
Mudavadi’s party announced it will hold National Delegates Congress on January 23 this year to endorse the former sabatia MP as the party’s presidential candidate.

The party Secretary General Simon Kamau said the meeting also intends to ratify amendments to its constitution.

It is worth noting that some key Amani Nationa Congress key members including; Lugari Mp Ayub Savula, nominated MP Godfrey Ososti, and MCA’s recently joined Raila’s political movement during Bukhungu II meeting organised by COTU boss Francis Atwoli in Kakamega
