Ababu Namwamba believes William Ruto is best to succeed President Uhuru

Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ababu Namwamba now claims William Ruto is the best person to be trusted with completing Jubilee government projects.

Namwamba, who is a Former Member of the Parliament for Budalangi, says Ruto has been part of the planning system which has seen Kenya’s infrastructure growth in the last nine years he has been in government.
Speaking during Ruto’s rally in Budalangi on Wednesday, he said Ruto has the best intellectual capacity and leadership qualities to complete President Uhuru’s project.

He claimed Raila Odinga side is seeking endorsement from President Uhuru Kenyatta and as such urged voters to ignore Raila’s presidential ambitions.
The former ODM party secretary general maintained that though the famous Raila-Uhuru handshake February 2018 brought prosperity to the nation, Raila should not take advantage by seeking the president’s endorsement.
“We agree it is good to befriend people for a better society but you cannot harvest where you did not sow, that is being hypocritical,” Ababu Namwamba said.
The outspoken lawyer also revealed a team has been appointed by UDA party to oversee the elections in Budalangi and the surrounding areas come August 9th.

“We have agreed to work together, both the currently elected and those seeking elective positions. We will not fight because our enemy is out there not amongst us. We are ready to walk this journey together,” he added.

Earlier on in interviews, Raila said he only needs the president’s vote and not his endorsement. He also denied being termed as the president’s project saying the president is also amused that they are saying he is his project.

“Can I be someone’s project? I laugh off these. Uhuru is also laughing when he hears that I am being branded project. I am Kenyans’ project,” said Raila in a previous interview.
