With the Azimio-OKA talks still ongoing, it has emerged that the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is ready to be Raila Odinga’s running mate for the third time.
According to Kalonzo Musyoka’s close ally, Enock Wambua, the Wipper leader will for settle nothing less than presidential or running-mate in the Azimio-OKA deal.
In an interview with The Daily Nation, Wambua said the Wiper leader and Odinga worked together in 2013 and 2017, coming close to winning so there is a need to maintain the line-up.
“The pairing of that ticket essentially cannot be different. To expect that a situation would arise that one of them would be a presidential candidate and the other would have to wait for some other things that nobody knows is to ask too much from people who have worked together from 2013 and done so much together,” Wambua said.

It has been a general opinion of political analysts that all leading presidential contenders will have their running mates from the vote-rich region of Mt Kenya.
But the Wiper leaders have insisted that the mountain region should be contented with other positions in the alliance.
The move by the Wiper leader come even after he insisted that Raila Odinga supports his candidature following their 2017 secretive NASA deal.
According to the document released by Kalonzo a few days ago, the ODM leader had agreed to support Kalonzo irrespective of the 2017 election outcome.
Kalonzo and his OKA principals are today expected to attend the Azimio la Umoja National Delegates Conference (NDC) at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) where the former prime minister will be announced the presidential flagbearer for the formation.
