Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetang’ula was wondered why the ODM leader Raila Odinga team is interested in his support yet they despised him.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, March 26, Wetang’ula questioned the attempts by Raila to woo him yet they said he had no political value.

“The desperados who are asking Wetang’ula to join them are the same ones who were shouting themselves hoarse that I was of no consequence,” Wetang’ula said.

The Ford leader who last year ruled out working with Raila again, said the Azimio team fill feel the consequence of belittling him.

“They will feel the consequence. The moment for the fifth government of Kenya kwanza is unstoppable,” He added.

The sentiments by Wetang’ula come after Raila Odinga’s close ally Junet Mohammed claimed that the Ford Kenya leader has been making night calls to Raila with the aim of shifting camps.

Speaking in Busia on Friday, March 25, during the Azimio rally, Junet claimed that the Ford Kenya leader was unhappy in the Kenya Kwanza alliance that is led by DP Ruto.

“Nataka kuambia Senator Wetang’ula wacha kupiga simu usiku. Kama jua imekuwa kali huko rudi kwa baba haraka sana,” Junet said.

Loosely translated to, I want to tell Senator Wetang’ula, stop making calls at night. If things are hard on the side (Kenya Kwanza), come first to Baba’s ( Raila) place.

Yesterday, the Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula was forced to dismiss reports that he is about to dump William Ruto and link up with former allies Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka in Azimio la Umoja led by Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Since Thursday, March 24 there were speculations on social media platforms that the Kenya Kwanza co-principal was rejoining Raila.

“I have had a busy moment at Ford Kenya party Headquarters receiving, advising, and encouraging our candidates in preparation for party primaries. Kenya Kwanza is the valid dream and hope for Kenya under the leadership of Ruto and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi,” Wetang’ula stated.
