Oscar Sudi claims that Ruto’s supporters have no problem with the Kikuyu community instead, they have a problem with Uhuru and his family.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto’s supporters have no problem with the Kikuyu community as a whole but instead, they have a problem with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family.

Speaking during a rally at Kipkenyo primary in Kapseret Constituency on Sunday, April 3, Sudi called on President Uhuru to stop hiding behind the community’s name.

“Mimi nataka kwambia Uhuru Kenyatta na asikie vizuri, usijifiche nyuma ya jina ya wakikuyu. Sisi hatuna shida na wakikuyu na wakenya wengine, tuko na shida na Uhuru Kenyatta na familia yake, mkwende nyumbani,” the outspoken MP said.

Loosely translated to, “I want to tell President Uhuru Kenyatta and he needs to listen very well, stop hiding behind the Kikuyu community, we don’t have a problem with the Kikuyu community and other Kenyans, we have a problem with his family (Kenyatta family), they should go home”

The controversial lawmaker challenged the president together with his handshake partner to retire peacefully after the end of his term on August 9.

Sudi, a close ally of DP Ruto also recently hit out at President Uhuru terming him the biggest inciter in Kenya.

“You are supposed to thank your deputy for apologizing directly to Raila Odinga. But unfortunately, your mind is filled with hatred, violence, and tribalism. You are the biggest inciter in Kenya.” Sudi wrote of Facebook.

Comments by Sudi came immediately after President Uhuru had expressed his anger on the stoning of the chopper carrying the ODM leader in Uasin Gishu last weekend.

The insults by Sudi to the Head of State and his family are not new, President Uhuru recently recounted how the Kenya Kwanza brigade insulted him during their tour of Gatundu South Constituency, the Head of State called on Kenyans to embrace mature politics.

“You saw what happened at my home in Gatundu. They insulted me at my doorstep but I chose to be silent about it,” President Uhuru said recently.
