Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s brother Oburu Odinga has called on the Deputy President William Ruto to exercise caution when addressing his seniors including President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ODM leader.

Speaking in South Gem location when he visited the family of former Gem MP the late Jakoyo Midiwo on Thursday, February 24, the elder brother to opposition leader Raila Odinga said DP Ruto’s constant insults are painting him as a bad leader.

“You (William Ruto) are still a young man, please don’t insult people. Don’t keep on insulting people, just tell them what you want to do for them in case they give you an opportunity to go to that office,” Oburu said.

Oburu further advised the deputy president to follow in the footsteps of former Vice-president Jaramogi Oginga and walk out of the Jubilee government if he feels sidelined by president Uhuru Kenyatta.

“You should do as Jaramogi Oginga did. When he was not being given a job to do by his boss, Jaramogi resigned and said he doesn’t want Kenyans to question him in future why he sat in office when he was doing nothing,” he added.

While addressing a rally at Subati, in River Athi in Kibwezi East on Wednesday, February 23, the former Eldoret North Member of Parliament hit out at ODM leader Raila Odinga whom he accused of interfering with the Jubilee government’s Big Four Agenda where it failed to achieve the pledges, according to its manifesto.

“We had plans to transform the livelihoods of Kenyans under the Big Four Agenda by ensuring affordable housing, value addition, better health services, and creation of jobs but the plans were derailed by the handshake which yielded to the BBI,” William Ruto said.
