Top 2022 KCSE student thanks MP Babu Owino for his online classes

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino launched teaching sessions at the onset of Covid-19 to help learners who were away from school study.

Since then, the legislator has been offering free Science and Mathematics classes to KCPE and KCSE candidates across the country.

The legislator, who is a graduate of the University of Nairobi (UoN) usually, picked notable topics that are mostly examined in KCPE and KCSE to teach about them with the class sessions being broadcasted on his Facebook and YouTube pages.

A few days after Education CS Ezekiel Machogu released the 2022 KCPE results, the youthful lawmaker has been receiving flowers from parents and students who were enrolled in his online classes performed excellently.

For an instant, Roberto Carlos took to social media to thank Embakasi East MP for helping him score a straight A in the recently released KCSE results.

“Good evening fellow Kenyans… This is Roberto Carlos from Mbita High School. I scored an A and I was among the top students in the recently released KSCE results,

“I am here to tell you that one of my ways to success was MP Babu Owino’s online classes that helped me so much to cover the syllabus. Thank you honorable wherever you are and I urge all students who haven’t known this please look up to Babu Owino’s classes and they will help you so much,” said Carlos.

In a rejoinder, the ODM legislator in a statement said he was glad that his online sessions had yielded good results.

“This is what the top student in the 2022 KCSE had to say about me after receiving his results. Congratulations Roberto Carlos from Mbita High School,” Babu Owino said.

As a result of his good gesture and desire to help, Owino was in 2020 recognized by the United Nations and the Voice of America for his online teaching classes in a feature that was compiled by VOA and was highlighted on the United Nations Website.
