Deputy President William Ruto’s party symbol was stolen by unknown persons in Kabarnet Baringo County, home to his rival and KANU chairman Gideon Moi.

The disappearance of the wheelbarrows prompted UDA supporters to hit the road, looking for the missing party symbols.

Three wheelbarrows, which are the symbol of William Ruto’s UDA Party had been hoisted high at Baringo Town.

William Ruto’s supporters had hoisted the wheelbarrows in the middle of the town as a way of expressing their political allegiance to the UDA Party.

The wheelbarrows, which were painted in UDA traditional colors of yellow and black had political symbols drawn on them and stood at major points within the town.

The William Ruto supporters have accused Gideon Moi’s men from KANU of stealing the wheelbarrows.

“I have a feeling KANU supporters may have had a hand in this incident because this region has for long supported the party. If it’s them, then that’s wrong,” said one UDA supporter.

However, the accused KANU supporters denied the claims, blaming UDA supporters for stealing the wheelbarrows.

William Ruto’s supporters in many towns have been raising wheelbarrows for him to see during his major rallies in various towns.

At times, the supporters turn up with William Ruto’s portraits in the rallies.

The lucky ones have been able to attract Ruto’s attention and get some handouts for impressing him.

Recently, he gave a Migori man on a wheelbarrow cash money after he was lifted high during his rally.
