Kalonzo: Who has sacrificed for Raila than me?

by Enock Ndayala
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced his intentions to vie for the presidency in the 2027 General Election.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said he deserved better in Azimio la Umoja- OK coalition party for sacrificing his presidential ambitions for ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Musyoka, who was speaking at a stopover in Mlolongo on Thursday, May 5, challenged those seeking to be Raila’s running mate to come out and declare how much they have sacrificed for the Azimio presidential flag bearer.

The former vice president who has been Raila’s running mate in both the 2013 and 2017 General Elections says he sacrificed his presidential ambitions for the former Prime Minister hence he should be rewarded by the same post in this year’s polls.

“This is not the end of the matter. But I have decided … I want anyone from those who are expected to be interviewed to come forward and say he was ready to be president in 2022 but shelved his presidential ambitions for Raila like me,” Musyoka said.

The Wiper leader is leading a two-day road trip meet-the-people tour of Mombasa road to popularise Raila and further warned Deputy President William Ruto and his troops against coercing the Azimio panel tasked with helping Raila find the best running mate to name him.

“I do not want UDA to defend me, I want to overthrow Ruto and his UDA,” Musyoka said.

He said he is the servant of God and that no one can stop him from becoming Raila’s presidential running mate for a record third time adding that he will overcome any challenges through God’s power.

“I am a servant of a living God, (Corinthians 1:13) no temptation has overtaken me which is not common to man with every temptation or challenge God will provide a way of escape. No one can stop Kalonzo,” he stated.
