Kimilili MP reveals One Kenya Alliance principals secretly talking to Ruto

by Enock Ndayala

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has sensationally claimed that some One Kenya Alliance principals are secretly in talks with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 elections.

The vocal Tanga Tanga legislator said William Ruto’s camp is in talks with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula as well as Musalia Mudavadi of ANC.

“There are two OKA principals consulting William Ruto. We are having conversations with Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi and there’s nothing wrong with that,” Barasa told Citizen TV on Tuesday, November 20.

While it is suspected that the OKA principals could be holding secret meetings with the deputy president in connection to the 2022 succession matrix, Barasa clarified that their night meetings are mainly focused on matters of national importance.

“I know of at least two OKA principals who consult with the deputy president every time. It could be at night and when they are meeting to discuss matters of national importance, there is nothing wrong about that,” he said.

Barasa likened the United Democratic Alliance party to a passenger service vehicle that makes stops overs at every stage saying the party is doing the same to negotiate with all Kenyans including those who are opposing it.

His remarks come at a time when reports claim that a section of OKA members has been holding secret meetings with William Ruto, a move that has been causing a major rift in the coalition.

While dismissing allegations that OKA principal Musalia Mudavadi has been holding night meetings with William Ruto, ANC deputy Party leader Ayub Savula yesterday claimed that some lawmakers are receiving cash from the deputy president.

“There are few individuals in the party who are creating the impression that we will join UDA,

“Members of the group receive KSh 50,000 each every week to create the impression that ANC is about to join UDA,” Savula said.
