According to menstylefashion.com, a wristwatch is the only hand accessory a man can invest in, and out of it realizes an exceptional timepiece.

The website further articulates that it is better to have one pretty ornamental chronograph than several unkempt timepieces.

Just like his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta, Kenya’s President William Ruto is known for his super-expensive watch collection.

Hawk-eyed Kenyans have over the years identified some of the world’s most expensive watches on the President’s left hand.

For instance, on Sunday, August 13, the Head of State who has been donning Kaunda Suits stepped out with a KSh 5 million (at the current exchange rate) wristwatch.

The exquisite A Lange 1 Moon Phase watch is believed to be one of the best chronographs to have ever been made.

It is estimated that the wrist piece on President William Ruto’s left-hand ranges between USD 36,000 (KSh 5 million) to USD 88,500 (KSh 12 million) depending on the specific features and specifications.

In what is already one of the most beautiful movement designs in modern watchmaking is its exquisite design, a captivating moon notification accompanied by a day and night indicator that transitions between different times of the day.

The moon is further adorned by gold stars that twinkle beside it, adding a touch of affluent allure.

A great proponent of innovation, the brand’s late founder Walter Lange once said: “There is something that you demand not only of your watch but also of yourself – never stand still.”

Additionally, the wrist piece comes with manual winding capability and a 72-hour power reserve.

The fact KSh 5 million might look a lot to ordinary Kenyans but not to the country’s first in command.

However, this is just one among many watches that President Kenyatta owns.

He’s previously been pictured wearing a Hublot Big Bang Rose Gold watch in 2020. The watch is worth approximately Ksh3.2 million.

President Ruto has been spotted wearing an International Watch Company (IWC) Schaffhausen Portugieser Perpetual Calendar at a number of events over the past few months, including his first New Year’s address as President on December 31, 2022.

The price range for this watch with an 18-karat gold case is between Ksh3.9 million and Ksh5.3 million.
