Okanga who led a fundraiser in Mumias East on Sunday, October 29, said although he had no academic credentials, he will be seeking an elective seat in the 2027 General Election.

“Nimeskia wapinzani wangu wakitembea wakisema ati mimi sina makaratasi, sasa mimi nauliza makaratasi yangu ndioyamekuzuia kufanya kazi?”

Nataka niwafanyie kazi mwaka wa 2027,” he said.

Speaking to the press shortly after Monday’s papers, Raila Odinga’s staunch supporter noted that he was sitting the exams to acquire a certificate so that he vie as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in 2027.

The 32-year-old said that his biological father passed away when he was a baby, something that led him to drop out of school.

“Baba yangu alikufa mapema sikueza kusoma,” he said.

He expressed gratitude to Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah for equipping him with a well-trained tutor prior to the exam period.

Okanga, who is sitting his exams at the Mumias Primary School noted that his aim is to achieve 250 marks and above out of 500.
