COTU boss Francis Atwoli’s wife Marry Kilobi has dismissed allegations that he was in a relationship with former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa before marrying the firebrand unionist.

But in a lengthy Instagram post, the KTN News anchor who is also Atwoli’s younger wife said she has never interacted with the former CS.

She said as a journalist she has interacted with so many news sources adding that she met Echesa for the first time at her Kajiado home and that she has never had his phone number.

“Just for clarity as a journalist, I have interacted with many news sources but not even once have I with one Rashid Echesa, only have I seen him in our Kajiado home,

“I’ve never even had his phone number! Therefore I consider what he said yesterday for the sake of settling political scores very disrespectful and totally unacceptable!” she said.

Kilobi further fired salvos at Echesa urging him not to drag her name into their political differences with her husband.

She said the move by Echesa to hide behind her in trying to engage the vocal unionist is a sign of cowardice

“Attacking Kilobi for trying to get back at my Husband is Cowardly!” she added.

While calling on Echesa to respect COTU boss Francis Atwoli, the 36-year-old advised Echesa to campaign hard ahead of the August 9, General Election.

“You may not even have respect for people who have helped you in lifelike Secretary-General Atwoli … August 9 is around the corner. Sell your manifesto. Have a nice life,” she added.
