Kalonzo Musyoka asks for prayer not to experience election rigging again

by Enock Ndayala
Church leaders from the Ukambani region have joined the push to have Kalonzo Musyoka named the presidential running mate to Raila Odinga.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has once again asked Kenyans to put him in their prayers not to be in the political cold after the 2027 elections.

Speaking in Thika, Kiambu County during a thanksgiving ceremony of Kiambu University and College Students Association (KUSCO), the former vice president said he has been in the opposition courtesy of vote-rigging.

“I have lived through three rigged elections in 2013, 2017, and 2022. The Apostles who are here and Kenyans in general, please pray for me to get out of this prison,” Kalonzo said.

He stated that there has been vote-rigging, especially for the Presidential elections in the last three General Elections.

Kalonzo, who recently maintained that he will challenge President William Ruto in 2027 further said he does not believe Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga lost in the August 9, election.

He said the August 9, presidential election pitying William Ruto against Raila Odinga was marred with irregularities.

“I still do not believe we lost the election as a lot of malpractices were witnessed during the process,

“The only way we will move on is after receiving a thorough audit of what transpired during the election,” Musyoka added.

While pointing accusing fingers at Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati for meddling in the 2022 presidential election, Kalonzo said it was not over.

He said there will be no peace and stability in our country until justice has been served to all.

“The story of our elections cannot end with Chebukati or Supreme Court because they are human beings and they can make mistakes.

“It is the audit report that will bring peace and stability to our country because there cannot be peace without justice,” he said on the future of the country.
