Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has finally endorsed Deputy President William Ruto for presidency saying he is the best person to succeed outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Interview with Look-UP TV on Wednesday, March 16, the Canada-based lawyer urged Kenyans of goodwill to vote for UDA presidential flag bearer saying he is the best candidate to restore the country’s lost rule of law.
“There is no way I can support Raila. What they were saying is that even if I am not supporting Raila, I should endorse Ruto. Well, today on national TV, I 100 percent endorse William Ruto,
“Without apology, I do hereby say that I Miguna Miguna declare that Kenyans who are committed to freedom and rule of law should vote for (William) Ruto on August 9,” Miguna Miguna said.
The sensational lawyer further noted that voting for the deputy president will bring to an end the cycle of dynastic control that has plagued the country.
“I am asking all Kenyans to support him to put to an end this cycle of dynastic tyranny,” he said.
His move to endorse the former Eldoret North MP comes barely two days after the controversial lawyer sensationally claimed that ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja implored him not to declare his support for the second in command ahead of the forthcoming polls.
In a statement posted to his social media pages, the controversial lawyer alleged that the Azimio la Umoja sent his friend to plead with him to throw his support behind the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
“The Azimio La Utapeli has sent my former SONU friends to plead with me to support conman Raila Odinga. They have begged me not to endorse William Samoei Ruto even if I refuse to support the conman (Raila),” Miguna said.
