Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang’ula have vowed not to re-unite with Raila Odinga in the forthcoming General Election.
The former Odinga’s allies now working under the One Kenya Alliance claim that Raila cannot be trusted politically even as the newly formed alliance welcomes other like-minded leaders even as political realignments are at top gear ahead of 2022.
They accused the former Prime Minister of taking advantage of his party’s numerical advantage in both National Assembly and Senate to elbow other parties out of parliamentary leadership positions.
According to Mudavadi, Raila has vandalized other affiliates under the National Super Alliance (NASA) umbrella after his party ODM vowed not to share the Political parties fund with other affiliates.
“If you create coalitions and then you vandalize them and then you come out and say again you want to make another coalition, people will start wondering how many of these you will create and again vandalize,” Mudavadi said.
This comes at a time when reports emerged that the former Prime Minister is reportedly working on a re-union with NASA who have united and the One Kenya Alliance alongside Gideon Moi.
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula echoed Mudavadi’s sentiments saying that he does not see One Kenya Alliance enter into a coalition pact with Raila Odinga.
Wetang’ula said that he once suffered in the hands of the ruthless actions orchestrated by ODM when he was kicked out as the Senate Minority leader and his position taken up by his Siaya counterpart James Orengo.
“It is absurd to have an agreement that all partners endeavor to nurture for the betterment of the whole nation and its people, just for a few individuals to purport to be the ones who will have their cake and eat it,” Wetang’ula told The Star Newspaper.
