Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has launched his 2022 presidential command center which will act as the official communication center for the former vice president ahead of next years’ General Election.

Speaking on Monday, August 9, during the launch dubbed the ‘SKM Command Centre’ at Wiper Party Headquarters, Kalonzo said the center will also be tasked with drafting his 2022 presidential manifesto.

“The pillar will form the basis of my manifesto that will be developed by the SKM Command Centre that we launched today and which will be unveiled to the country for interrogations in the coming months,” he said.

The launch of Kalonzo’s presidential command center which was attended by the One Kenya Alliance representatives including Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) comes barely two weeks after the Wiper leader hired former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s key strategist in the last General Election.

Musyoka who recently maintained that he will not support Raila Odinga again for the presidency in July announced changes to his 2022 team roping in ex-National Super Alliance (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya who worked closely with the ODM leader during the high stakes 2017 elections.

Earlier this month, former NASA principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya), and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) jointly appended signatures to officially kill the once most powerful coalition.

Speaking after a joint Parliamentary Group meeting prior to the signing Kalonzo said their premature exit was due to a trust deficit in Raila Odinga-led ODM.

Musyoka further went ahead and extended an olive branch to the former premier saying he is free to engage with the recently formed One Kenya Alliance to chat a way forward for the 2022 elections.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we are reaching out to every person. We know that we need to for a political colossus, whereby victory will be seen clearly,” Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka indirectly told Raila Odinga.
