“Your Excellency, we came here four years ago and this place was very muddy, today we have a world-class stadium because of your commitment to the development of our country,” he said.

In his speech, William Ruto added that the Jubilee Government, led by President Uhuru had done well in terms of initiating development projects.

At the Mashuja day event, William Ruto promised to keep Uhuru’s legacy through his bottom-up approach.

“As your Deputy for the last nine years, I will make sure your legacy, the Big-Four Agenda together with the Bottom-up Economic Model will take the country to greater heights,” Ruto told President Uhuru.
The event brought together William Ruto and President Uhuru, who had been said to be on bad terms.
To prove the naysayers wrong, Uhuru and Ruto rekindled their old bromance by shaking hands and sharing light moments.
Before making his speech, Ruto had a chat with Uhuru who appears to be happily explaining something to him.
It was not expected for the two to engage in such moments since they have been on bad terms.
On August 24, the president dared his deputy to resign from government, accusing him of talking ill about his administration and at the same time taking credit for some projects.
